ABOUT MEGAN

Megan Devlin has been a physical therapist in the Los Gatos area for 20 years. She completed her undergraduate degree from UCSB then attended physical therapy school at Northwestern University where she earned her Masters in Physical Therapy. She is a certified NDT therapist and specializes in neurologic disorders. She has worked in rehabilitation, outpatient, and aquatic therapy. She consults on all diagnoses, but has worked extensively with neurologic disorders (stroke and Parkinson’s), total joint replacements, and chronic pain.
The goal of physical therapy in an inpatient rehab center is to get the patient mobile enough to go home. Similarly, the goal of outpatient physical therapy is to get the patient more mobile at home and back safely into the community. During her career of working with families to get patients home and back into the community, Megan realized there was a common theme — most patients and most families want their loved one to stay at home and do not want to move them into assisted living or a facility. However, staying at home after weakness from a surgery, lack of confidence after a fall, or with a progressive disorder can be challenging for families to navigate. Megan enjoys helping families solve mobility issues in the home and safety concerns at home. She also knows that cookie cutter physical therapy often results in less compliance and is not as meaningful to her patients. Megan’s business focuses on personalized care with the goal of keeping her patients strong and safe at home. As a health care professional, Megan is COVID vaccinated and wears a mask during all services and treatments.

Outside of work, Megan is married, has two daughters and a cat named Maui. Megan was born at Good Samaritan hospital and, with the exception of college, has lived in the South Bay all her life. She loves to travel, run with her girlfriends, play tennis, ski, drive carpools to various activities and volunteer with her girls in the community. During COVID, she learned how to make sourdough bread.
